Who We Are

We are a health and wellness lifestyle brand. We exist because over 80% of people fail at their fitness goals, causing an epidemic of heart disease, obesity, depression, guilt and shame. And despite the explosive growth of the fitness industry… the problem is only getting worse. We saw these trends in 2015 as corporate fitness managers of a popular American gym chain and decided to leave our jobs to create solutions that address the problem at its root. Today we have several successful fitness studios in Los Angeles and a fitness social networking app that allows users to join communities for on-demand professional health coaching, peer-to-peer engagement and premium health and wellness content. 

We’ve been featured in Forbes Magazine, Crunchbase, Voyage LA and we’ve been recognized by the city of Los Angeles as one of the top Small Businesses in LA. Step 1

Discover Your “Why”

Old Way: In the past, you would never even consider to have an honest, internal dialogue with yourself about “why” you desire to lose weight, gain strength and prevent injury/illness. This step is generally bypassed as you jump right into the newest fitness craze or dieting fad.

Old Result: Because you’re “why” is superficial, so are your results. If you’re seeking help from outside sources before understanding yourself, why you respond or react in certain ways, your own behaviors etc… You’ll never gain control over your mind, thus you’ve made it significantly harder on yourself to lose weight, gain strength and prevent injuries/illnesses. Ph.D and clinical psychologist Joseph J. Luciani reports to US News that “outside-in solutions such as dieting, joining gyms and so on are doomed to fail because you’ve done nothing to enhance your capacity to either sustain motivation or handle the inevitable stress and discomfort involved in change.”

Old Way: In the past, finding help generally meant hiring a personal trainer. Personal training sessions were exactly that… sessions with zero outside help or guidance. You could easily end up paying thousands of dollars upfront for a few hours of your trainers’ time. After the session is over, you wouldn’t hear from your trainer until the next session.

Old Result: Your workouts are probably fantastic. You work hard during that hour, you feel that “push” is exactly what you need. But if you’re on your own for the other 23 hours of the day with zero guidance, accountability or community, your chances of regaining control over your health is around 20%.

Use a Phased Approach for Nutrition

Old Way: Do it on your own and crash diet. The old way is to be completely left alone to your own devices. Many trainers/coaches claim that nutrition “is not in the scope of their practice”, therefore they make vague recommendations and leave it at that. But you want to see quick results, so you turn to the new fad that is completely unrealistic to sustain and sometimes incredibly dangerous.

There is absolutely way too much temptation, stress and anxiety in life to have the self control to do this yourself, much less understanding the education behind this new crash diet your trying. There are few coaches, gyms and fitness pro’s looking at recovery as a necessary part of your weight loss, injury recovery or illness prevention.

Old Result: High blood pressure, pain, injury and chronic issues like migraines and tension headaches.The American Institute of Stress reports there are 4 major ways stress affects the body. It affects the Endocrine System (your body’s hormone/cortisol regulation system), your Respiratory System (meaning your cells don’t get enough oxygen), your Circulatory System (causing high blood pressure) and your Musculoskeletal System (tight muscles leading to pain, injury and chronic issues like migraines and tension headaches). So, if you, your coach or your gym is not addressing your recovery, your hormone regulation is probably off, you’re not getting enough oxygen to your body, you probably have high blood pressure, injuries and headaches as a result.

New Way: Monitor, log your sleep/stress levels and adjust your fitness plan accordingly. This means if you’re not sleeping and overstressing, your body may be telling you to switch to a low intensity workout or yoga. If your body feels refreshed and ready to work, let’s get those high intensity workouts in! Overtraining is real, and it leads to the same results as undertraining. Hit maximum results faster by monitoring recovery.

New Result: Recovery really ties the whole program together. If you can regulate your hormones through sleep and stress management, you’ll stress less. If you stress less, you make better food choices. If you make better food choices, you have enough energy to hit a really good workout, if you have the energy to hit a really good workout, you sleep better. And on and on the cycle goes, making it easier and faster for you to hit your goals.
